HONKY TONK ANGELS at Capital Repertory Theatre

Giving this swing thing a try and dance captaining 3 fierce women! See you at theREP this summer!
Direction: Gary John La Rosa
Musical Direction: Mark Galinovsky

The creator of “Always…Patsy Cline” brings to life “Honky Tonk Angels,” a musical celebration of the female stars of country. This charming, foot-stompin’ musical mixes 30 classic country tunes into a hilarious story about three gutsy gals who are determined to better their lives and follow their dreams to Nashville to become the Honky Tonk Angels.

Thousand Faced Theatre Company, in association with Ryan Scott Oliver and Very Intense Productions, will present Her Sound, Vol. 1 by Ethan Carlson. Available on all streaming platforms January 15th, Her Sound, Vol. 1, written by Ethan Carlson, recent winner of Taylor Louderman’s Write Out Loud Contest, is the first of a three-part concept album to be released throughout 2021.

Her Sound is a new song cycle that reimagines the ancient stories of women. Instead of “wife”, “mistress”, and “sinner”, discover the untold accounts of a rebel contemplating the cost of knowledge for a bite of an apple, a liberated Queen celebrating her community of women, a groundbreaker escaping the walls that trap her, the origin story of Luci the Queen of Hell, and many more stories.

Tonight, we would have closed "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" in Tulsa, OK. I decided to have everyone send me a selfie since we never got a full company shot (we're missing a few friends, but this is our big old traveling family!) March 12th, Charlie played its final performance in Grand Rapids, MI without anyone knowing what would happen next. This company didn't get as much time as we expected together, but I truly would not change this experience for the world and I cross my fingers every day that I get to reunite with them when the factory gates reopen with more "wonder" than EVER. VERY special shoutout to Matt Lenz, Ali Solomon, Nate Patten, Natalie Malotke, Anthony Daniel, Jack O’Brien, Joshua Bergasse, Stewart/Whitley Casting, and NETworks Productions for putting this crew together because DAMN this is a special bunch.

My Cindy Journey Comes To A Close...

Screen Shot 2018-07-17 at 3.53.11 PM.png

10 months. 214 performances. 88 cities. 36 states. I am forever thankful to our creatives, cast, crew, and the Work Light family for making this journey one I will never forget. Making my National Tour debut at 20 was terrifying, but the amount I’ve learned from every person in this company, good and bad, has forever changed me as a performer and person. Spreading kindness for a living will be something I am forever grateful to have been a part of, and something our world needs now more than ever.
“Now go, with the promise of possibility!”
Thanks Cindy!
